About The Position

Logistics Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Location: Mississauga, ON

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Shipping Receiving coordinator is to ship and receive Alma Lasers products and accessories. This employee will also maintain an accurate inventory count, maintain proper records, and communicate with support teams.

Essential Functions

  • Pack and coordinate outgoing shipments
  • Unpack, verify, and record incoming shipments
  • Scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damages and defects
  • Update ERP system for outgoing and incoming shipments as well as virtual warehouse transfers
  • Reconcile shipment reports from supplier with warehouse receipts
  • Inventory planning/purchase quantity recommendations
  • Cycle Counting
  • Spare parts management
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required

  • High School degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Skills Required

  • Positive attitude and approach to the job responsibilities and the Alma team
  • Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • ERP system experience such as SAP, Salesforce, or NetSuite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports but assists in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office/ warehouse equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, pallet jacks, hand tools, and power tools.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position does not require travel
